Course Objective
- To develop your understanding of Crystal Reports in order to create more complex reports.
Outline
- Conditional Formatting - applying formatting attributes under certain conditions, applied to both individial objects and whole sections. Used for exception reporting.
- Report Alerts - creating custom messages which appear at run-time when certain conditions are met in the report by our data.
- Intermediate Formulas - looking at the common pitfalls of creating formulas due to data variations and intervention by others. Using the "if then else" and "select" control stuctures and other manipulation functions to get the best out of our data.
- Parameters - creating 3 different value type (currency, date & string) parameters to control the output of the report at run-time.
- Subreports - using the report expert to embed another linked or unlinked report inside the main report. Including conditional suppression and on-demand subreports.
- Cross-Tab Objects - adding a single-row, single-column crosstab to a report to show summarised data. Also includes using a variety of date-time functions.
- Running Totals - creating specialised summaries and continually incrementing totals, including conditional running totals and an overview of the Crystal Reports architecture.
